Here’s Atalanta Esports team
PES 2020 and FIFA 20 players presented
Atalanta's journey in the Esports world has begun: in the late afternoon of Wednesday 5th February, the team and project that opened the club's doors to the Esports world were presented. Besides the championship, tournaments, international games and an 'academy' to select the strongest talents. In this weekend, tryouts to recruit further players for the PES 2020 and FIFA 20 teams.
The eSerie A TIM, the virtual league of the main Italian football league, was made official and the kick-off is pending: the project, which was strongly wanted by Lega Serie A's CEO Luigi De Siervo, is the tangible sign of a great opening towards electronic sports.
Atalanta too decided to field their team. General Manager Umberto Marino took part in the presentation and the special guest of the event was the First Team's goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini.
Atalanta Esports team: same colours, different sports, but this doesn't make them less intense. Many aims are part of this project, among which the participation in a series of 'extra league' tournaments through which the athletes can grow and gain experience, then international competitions in Europe and a proper 'academy', where the athletes' skills will be refined through mixed game sessions and theoretical learning moments.
A great work toward communities won't miss, also through streaming activities in different platforms, to facilitate fans that will follow the teams through web and social networks. Adding to this, specially programmed activities to push Atalanta Esports' vertical communication on these channels.
The project will be managed in collaboration between Atalanta B.C., Esport Palace, as Esports provider, and Ak Informatica. Esport Palace and Ak Informatica will also provide a dedicated team, formed by analysts and coaches, with the aim to create a highly competitive level both in Italy and abroad since the beginning, laying the foundation for growth and development in all directions.
Atalanta Esports team's 'stadium' will be the ESport Palace in Bergamo, where a dedicated area exclusively made for the Esports Made in Atalanta has been created, in which periodically test matches and meet ad greets with the fans will take place.
The engagement with the crowd will be regular, open to everybody with a focus on Millenials and Generation Z.
The ‘captains’ of PES 2020 and FIFA 20 will be respectively Jacopo ‘JC_STUNNER_90’ Crocchia and Antonio ‘ProRope72’ Mincione.
This weekend, further tryouts have been scheduled with the aim to select athletes for the two Atalanta Esports teams.
