ENG: Juventus-Atalanta 2-2
Zapata and Malinovskyi on the scoresheet
In the 2019-2020 Serie A TIM Matchday 32 the victory against the leaders Juventus fades in the final: at the Allianz Stadium in Turin it ends 2-2 after a superb performance by the Nerazzurri (wearing the green kit tonight).
Gasperini was forced to replace Gosens who had suffered an injury in the warm-up, Castagne started instead of him. It was an excellent start to the game for the Nerazzurri who played at a high pace and with effective geometries and personalities. Zapata and Iličić sent their efforts off target in the initial minutes, but the pressure of Gomez and his teammates was constant and became real on 16' with the opener scored by Zapata which gave Atalanta the lead: the Colombian was very good and cold to beat Szczesny exploiting an invention of Papu . The leaders tried to react, but the Nerazzurri's organisation did not grant clear chances to the Juventus attack in the first half.
Juventus equalised ten minutes after the restart thanks to a penalty converted by Ronaldo: the penalty was awarded after de Roon handball on Dybala's cross. It was a fought match, Gollini denied Ronaldo on 77 and four minutes after a right-footed rocket from Malinovskyi gave back the lead to the Nerazzurri: Muriel found the Ukrainian on the edge of the box to send a wonderful finish into the net. The new lead lasted until 90 when a second penalty was awarded to Juventus, this time for a Muriel handball. Ronaldo didn't miss the penalty and 2-2 was the final result of the match.
The run of consecutive league wins ends on 9 at the ground of the leaders Juventus: with the draw in Turin, the Nerazzurri rise to 67 points, one point away from second-placed Lazio.
